Hello Everyone …… James here. How are you?
I finally have some photos to share with you. My only excuse for not writing in so long is that it continues to take awhile to upload photos and now that we are in India the process is even slower. I know I know, not much of an excuse, truly I have been slacking. If I have learned anything though it is that if I ever do this again I will bring my own lap top strictly for uploading photos. It would make things much easier.
Outside of the photo dilemma the trip has been amazing to say the least. Each country, city, beach and body of water has presented something new and unforgettable. Since I’ve wrote last we have been to the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and at the moment we are shacked up in Kolkata India. Besides the island hoping in Thailand we were also able to spend two days in Bangkok. I must say is one of the coolest cities I have ever been too, which brings me to my next topic.
If any of you have watched the news lately you will know that there there have been protests from the red shirt party (the UDD) against the yellow shirt party (the party currently in power) in central Bangkok. Well…. us being the curious cats we are decided that we wanted to investigate these protests with our own eyes. I mean all we had heard about was how violent they were and of the bombs going off….no big deal right?..sound like a little excitement! Luckily enough we decided to do this in the middle of the day where we walked thru the UDD main rally point. This rally point was miles wide by miles long and I would say there were close to a million protesters all and all. I had never seen anything like it. Overall we felt quite safe and it is something that I will never forget. If it had be nighttime, we may have not been as lucky. Who knows?
Now that I have told you a little story, maybe now I will share some pictures with you. They are pretty random and since I haven’t been able to keep up they way I wanted to I guess this is what you get. Either way I think you will like at least a few of them, there are many…

SO… I guess I let you all go. But before I do let me leave you with some final thoughts regarding traveling! I guess it goes like this…. Some days you truly feel like you are on a long vacation and there is not a worry in the world. There is sun in the sky and no watch on my wrist. In fact most days I don’t even know what day it is anymore. Other days however you meet a new challenge, whether it be mental or physical. These challenges could be walking into Mother Teresa’s founding ward to find a guy that just took his last breath of air. Or maybe its working 8 hours strait carrying crushed rock on your head as your walk across a rebar and thru a narrowed garden. There are also the conversations you have where you eventually question everything you know and everything you are because you just met someone that is far more educated than you and challenged your mind immensely. Those are the toughest ones. Only God knows what each day will present for us. I now wake up every morning wondering what adventure or what conversations are in store for me once I step out of bed. We are lucky to have God watching over us and its been very easy to feel his presence as this journey has progressed.
Until Next Time,
Jamie
Oh, I almost forgot – Here are a few more from the protest:
