Special Thanks to Jim Walters as he was an integral part of the planning and execution of this trip!

Jim Walters is the Senior Pastor at Bear Valley Church in Lakewood, CO. I have grown up listening to Jim preach and he has had a huge impact on my life. Jim has been there for me through thick and thin, through the bad times in my life and the good times. Over the past several years, Jim has been a personal and professional mentor to me.

I have had the distinct pleasure in sharing flight time with Jim ever since I got my private pilot’s license in 2007. For those of you who do not know Jim, Jim is an ex-Air Force fighter pilot with an insane amount of hours logged in all kinds of different planes. To put it plainly, the man has got some experience! I couldn’t think of a better person to get into a plane with than an ex-Air Force fight pilot and a preacher! I probably learned more about flying with Jim in 30 hours than I did in the 70+ hours it took me to get my private pilot’s license.

Jim is extremely well-traveled through his days in the service and his long history of ministry. He has been an excellent resource for us in undertaking a round-the-world trip like this. Jim was integral in helping us find meaningful mission work in our trip. He helped us set up our mission work in the Philippines and we hope we can make him proud.

For those of you who do not have the pleasure of knowing Jim and what an inspiration he is to me and everyone else who knows him, you may want to consider picking up a copy of his new book “When Faith Takes Flight”. This book is a great book for those who want to learn how to take ‘spiritual flight’ through Christ.
